"Do what you love. Love what you do."
These words permeate both my approach to my practice, as well as what I hope to inspire within the hearts of my clients. Bringing a well organized toolbox of physiology and anatomy, Yogic and Buddhist philosophies and practice, Western psychological theory, holistic nutrition, a clear understanding of what I can and cannot treat, and over a decade of hands-on experience working therapeutically with adults and children, I approach each session as a new, unique experience.
My massage style is part technical blend and part creativity. The modalities that are central in my approach include Hawaiian lomi lomi, Swedish, myofascial release, trigger point, face and foot reflexology, cranial sacral, acupressure, lymphatic drainage, and assisted stretching. I determine the flow of a session based upon what a client feels s/he needs and the body's ability to relax and respond. On the physical level, I most enjoy working with bodies that are recovering from injury, bodies that are pregnant, and bodies responding to on-going stress.
Touch is much more than skin-deep, and I hold an awareness of the whole person in all of my sessions. For those who desire a more dynamic approach to wellness, working with the mind and/or spirit, or simply a desire to become more educated and empowered toward his/her health, I offer private massage classes for individuals and couples, rosen method bodywork, and pre/post-natal transitional coaching. My intention is to guide people back into their creativity, their passions, their relationships, their bodies, their senses; so that one's best possible life may be an everyday reality and not just a daydream.
